You can now elevate your IKEA furniture with Bemz – literally. The Swedish sofa cover pioneer has now expanded their product range with a collection of furniture legs designed by Maxwell Ryan of Apartment Therapy, the New York-based media giant. The curated collection consists of four different models and is now available for purchase at bemz.com.
The Maxwell Ryan x Bemz by Apartment Therapy collection features four sofa legs, all with distinct architectural elements. The inspiration behind each sofa leg varies, paying vibrant homage to contemporary designers, prominent 20th century figures, and the boisterous Bibendum form. The idea is to completely transform the look of IKEA furniture.

“There are only two ways to change a sofa, easily. One is to cover it – which Bemz already does. And the other is to change the legs. It sends a strong signal of both style and personality… I love the idea that we can hone in on the legs and make a statement there”, says Maxwell Ryan, CEO & Founder of Apartment Therapy.

The idea is to tap into the creative genius of external designers to reach a wider audience and offer customers high-end design at a range of price points.
